With this release we fixed some issues and added features to the extensions Compliance Essentials, Field Security, Field Validation, Advanced Permissions Recorder and Inventory Reconciliation.
Below you will find the most important issues and features.
Additional note:
This release will not be available for Business Central version 14. The last available update for that version is release 5.2.202410.
For Business Central version 15 up till 23, the latest available update will be release 6.2.202510.
General
- All apps are now Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Wave 1 2026 compatible;
- The version number from the extensions is 7.1.202604NN.0;
- The notification that the trial or license has expired appeared twice;
- The notification that the trial or license has expired now also appears when the Field Validation, Field Security or Filter Security overview is opened;

Field Security
Added
- A Field security can be fully copied;
- A failsafe has been added in case a Permission Set exists as both a Tenant and a System set;
- A column for companies has been added to the factbox Permission sets Assigned to Line;
- The Field Security Wizard has been made more user friendly;
Solved bugs
- A company with brackets in its name could not be added to a permission set;
- The length of the string when using Copilot has been extended;
- Restriction on maximum of characters has been amended;
- Summary (Effective Securities) didn’t show the correct list of users when the new method to login is activated;
- When you have two identical Field securities, the summary didn’t show a result;
- Default editable vs line didn’t work correctly (default true - line true, default false - line false);
- It was not possible to log in to Business Central without the permission set 2C FIELDSEC USE;
- Wrong Field security was opened when a new one is created with Copilot;
- Data ownership is now corrected when using the permission set SUPER;
- A condition in a table relation was ignored, causing the security to not work properly;
- Copying Permission Sets which have no company assigned, to other lines, will overrule the ones with the same Permission Set with an assigned company;
- Summary doesn’t take into account that there are also Security Groups involved;
- When a filter was set up in the header of a Field security, it was possible to change the value of the set up filter in the card to circumvent the security;
Filter Security
Added
- A Filter security can be fully copied;
- A column for companies has been added to the factbox Permission Sets Assigned to Line;
Solved bugs
- A company with brackets in its name could not be matched to a permission set;
- When a calculated filter is set up in a table relation and no value can be calculated, the field security extension didn’t work;
- The column ‘Number of Not assigned permission sets’ showed the wrong value;
- A condition in a table relation was ignored, causing the security to not work properly;
- Copying Permission Sets which have no company assigned, to other lines, will overrule the ones with the same Permission Set with an assigned company;
- Summary doesn’t take into account that there are also Security Groups involved;
Advanced Permissions Recorder

- It is now possible to have two recordings at the same time;
Field Validation
Added
- When a validation line has been added, an example of the notification message is automatically added;
- Possibility to select multiples fields at once;
- The ‘Reference Fields for Notifications’ can now be found in the menu of the Field Validation Setup;
- When the option is activated of ‘Display results in message’, the message now also shows the number of the Field Validation;
- A switch for the ‘Insert check’ has been added in the header of a Field validation;
- The Field Validation Wizard has been made more user friendly;
- Copilot generator available: By entering the correct prompt, Copilot can generate a Field Validation Proposal;
Solved bugs
- The use of Related fields=0 caused error messages;
- When you create a Field Validation where you have validation lines and validation actions for the same fields, this caused a recursive invocation error;
- The use of a calculated filter through a table relation wasn’t calculated correctly;
- Validation on multiple lines didn’t work correctly;
- Conversion error when a table relation has a check on multiple records;
- The cause of the message that a record is not opened is solved;
- Error message also mentioned errors in other records on other pages;
- When using the validation type ‘Related no of Records’ and a second validation line is added with the same type, the first validation line seemed to disappear;
- Using the validation type ‘Related no of Records’ and the switch ‘Insert check’ caused an error;
- When choosing for ‘back’ in the wizard, the window appears to register even if registration was already finished;
- The error message didn’t show a ‘&’ sign when this was used in a filter.
