Setting	What it does
Record Session ID	The session to record. Use the assist-edit button to choose your own session or the session of a user who is logged on.
Record a new or an existing Permission Set	Record new set saves the result in a new set. Overwrite existing set replaces a set completely. Modify existing set adds the new data to a set.
Permission set(s) to refine results	Sets whose permissions are removed from the result, usually a "universal" set that every user has.
Object types to record	Table Data, Table, Page, Codeunit, Report, XML Port, Query. All are on by default.
Permissions to record	Read, Insert, Modify, Delete, Execute. All are on by default.

Action	What it does
Start	Starts recording the selected session.
Pause	Pauses recording. Choose Start to continue.
Update Recorded Permissions	Shows the (unrefined) permissions recorded so far. Choose it after the task was done in the recorded session.
Clear recorder data	Removes all temporary recorded data. Permissions that are already saved in a set are not affected.
Stop	Stops the recording and saves the set.

Message	Cause	What to do
Permission Set code already exists. Select the option to record an existing set or enter a new one.	The code you entered for a new set is already in use.	Enter another code, or choose Overwrite existing set or Modify existing set.
Select a session to record before starting.	Record Session ID is empty.	Choose a session with the assist-edit button.
Select or enter a Permission Set to record before starting.	No target set is chosen.	Enter a code for a new set, or choose an existing set.
Select at least one Permission to record.	All permissions are switched off. The message appears when you choose Stop.	Switch on at least one of Read, Insert, Modify, Delete, Execute before you start.
Select at least one Object Type to record.	All object types are switched off. The message appears when you choose Stop.	Switch on at least one object type before you start.
Only user-defined Permission Sets can be modified.	You started the Recorder from a system permission set.	Record a new set, or start from a user-defined set.
Please register the Compliance Advanced Permissions Recorder extension on the Setup page...	The app is not registered.	Choose Yes to start the wizard and register. See Install and set up.
This removes all temporary recorder data. Already recorded permissions are not affected.	This is the confirmation of Clear recorder data.	Choose Yes to remove the temporary data of the recording. Sets that were already saved stay as they are.
